
Ahmedabad, March 16: In a significant operation against illegal liquor, Pratapgarh police registered 25 cases in a single day. They seized 144 liters of illicit Mahua liquor and 12 cartons of both domestic and foreign alcohol. Nine suspects were arrested, while efforts continue to apprehend others who remain at large.
This operation was conducted under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police B. Aditya, along with Additional Superintendent of Police Gajendra Singh Jodha and all jurisdictional officers.
Joint police teams executed the crackdown in various areas including Daryawad, Devgarh, Peepalkhunt, Arnod, Salmgarh, Kesariyavad, Dhamotar, Ghantali, Chhoti Sadri, Parsola, Dholapani, Kotdi, Jaloada Jagir, and Ranthajana.
During the operation, the total value of the seized liquor is estimated to be around ₹65,000. Additionally, the Dhamotar police team confiscated a motorcycle involved in the illegal liquor transport. Authorities are actively searching for the absconding suspects.
