Udaipur, March 20: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s ambitious initiative, the Chief Minister Developed Village Campaign, held a special village assembly in Chirva village of the Badgaon tehsil on Friday. District Collector Namit Mehta participated in the assembly, engaging with villagers to discuss development plans in detail. The gathering focused on creating a master plan for the overall development of the village.
District Council’s Chief Executive Officer Riya Dabi outlined the campaign’s framework and objectives. She emphasized that this initiative aims to ensure planned development by addressing both current and future needs of the villages. During the assembly, local residents presented suggestions regarding infrastructure development, including road construction, drinking water supply, and agricultural facilities. To encourage active participation, a suggestion box was placed for villagers to share their thoughts in writing with the administration.
Collector Mehta stated that the primary goal of this campaign is to identify the development needs of the villages and prepare a solid draft and documentation. He mentioned that a comprehensive vision document would be created by identifying needs related to sports fields, agricultural resources, education, health, and basic facilities. He urged villagers to contribute their suggestions in large numbers, so that an effective development plan can be formulated considering the needs of the next 5, 10, and 15 years. This document will be sent to the state government to expedite the implementation of the plans. The assembly was attended by ADCM Badgaon Latika Paliwal, Girwa SDM Avula Saikrishna, ACEO Virma Ram, BDO Shailendra Khinchi, along with local representatives and officials from various departments.
Earlier, Collector Mehta also participated in a camp held in Ashok Nagar under the Chief Minister Developed Urban Ward Campaign. He discussed the preparation of a master plan for the development of the ward with city residents and gathered their suggestions. The event saw the presence of Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, former Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, Girwa SDM Avula Saikrishna, and a large number of citizens.
