Outstanding Results from Hindustan Zincs Education Support Program

Udaipur, April 5:
Hindustan Zinc‘s Education Support Program has achieved remarkable results, benefiting over 13,000 students from grades 6 to 12. The Rajasthan Secondary Education Board recently announced the outstanding performance of students enrolled in this initiative, particularly in the 10th and 12th-grade examinations.

In the recently declared 10th-grade results, an impressive 92.53% of students passed, with 39% achieving first-class honors. Among 76 government schools, 37 achieved a 100% pass rate. Notably, 137 female students scored 75% or higher, qualifying for the prestigious Gargi Award, which recognizes academic excellence among girls in Rajasthan. Similarly, in the 12th-grade board exams, 99.43% of students passed, with 86.36% securing first-class grades.

Since the program’s inception in the 2016 financial year, the overall pass percentage has surged from 67% to 92.53%, marking a 38% increase. The percentage of students passing with first-class honors in the 10th grade has risen from 14% in 2016 to 39% today.

Under the Education Support Program, Hindustan Zinc provides additional teachers, learning materials, and academic support, particularly in science, mathematics, and English, to government schools. This initiative aims to enhance learning outcomes and improve academic performance among students from underprivileged communities.

To further enrich students’ learning experiences, the program promotes conceptual clarity and experiential education through targeted academic measures. Recently, Hindustan Zinc established four immersive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) labs in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, designed to make classrooms more interactive, engaging, technology-enabled, and innovation-driven.

Launched in 2016, the Education Support Program is one of Hindustan Zinc‘s key initiatives in the education sector. Implemented in partnership with Vidya Bhavan, this program has created a robust framework for academic assistance for students from grades 6 to 12, fostering greater community engagement. Currently, it operates in six districts where the company has business operations: Udaipur, Salumber, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.
