Nathdwara: Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, known for his spiritual influence and captivating discourses, visited the revered Shri Nathji Temple in Nathdwara on Thursday evening. Accompanied by noted religious figures Indresh Upadhyay and Radhakrishna Maharaj, Shastri participated in the temple’s Sandhya Aarti and later offered prayers for India to become a Hindu nation soon.

After witnessing the Sandhya Aarti, Pandit Shastri, along with his companions, visited the Mahaprabhuji Ki Baithak as per temple tradition. They were greeted warmly by temple officials, including officer Sudhakar Shastri, assistant officer Anil Sanadhya, and secretary Leeladhar Purohit. As a gesture of respect, they were presented with traditional uparna, quilts, and prasad.

Message for Mahakumbh: Real, Not Reel Devotion

During his visit, Shastri emphasized the significance of the upcoming Mahakumbh, an event taking place after a gap of 144 years. “This is a sacred occasion for all Sanatan Hindus to bathe in the holy waters and immerse themselves in devotion,” he said.

Addressing the youth, he urged them to visit Mahakumbh for genuine spiritual experience rather than creating content for social media. “Our ancient traditions are not for reels but for real devotion. Youngsters should not chase selfies with celebrities; instead, they should strive to become so accomplished that others seek selfies with them,” Shastri remarked.
