New Delhi, March 6: In celebration of International Women’s Day, the administration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi has announced a significant initiative. On this day, women will have the opportunity to visit the temple for free. This offer extends to local residents as well as female devotees traveling from across the country and abroad.
Women visiting Varanasi will be able to easily access the darshan of Lord Baba Vishwanath, taking advantage of this special arrangement. This initiative not only holds religious significance but also promotes the dignity and respect of women in society.
The temple’s Chief Executive Officer, Vishvabhushan Mishra, stated that on March 8, women will be granted direct entry through Gate No. 4-B. Special priority will be given to women accompanying infants. This arrangement will alleviate the hassle of long queues and ticket purchases for women. The hours from 4 AM to 5 AM and 4 PM to 5 PM are already reserved for local residents, ensuring that this special provision for women is available throughout the rest of the day.
Through this decision, the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust honors the strength of women. Vishvabhushan Mishra expressed, “May the blessings of Lord Vishwanath be upon all women and humanity. We wish for the prosperity of all mothers, followers of Sanatan Dharma, and devotees of Lord Vishwanath. Har Har Mahadev.”
The temple administration has urged all devotees to maintain peace and order on this day to ensure that all women can enjoy a smooth darshan experience.
Located in Varanasi, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and is considered a major pilgrimage site. Situated on the banks of the Ganges, this temple is a center of faith for millions of devotees. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham features a grand corridor, free darshan, and special worship arrangements, attracting a large number of visitors daily.
