Churu, February 11 : A horrific accident on the Ratangarh-Sardarshahar Mega Highway near Ladhasar village claimed the lives of three people, including a municipal accounts officer. The collision between a car and a trailer was so severe that the vehicle had to be cut open to retrieve the bodies.

Accident Details
According to Head Constable Sukhbir Singh of Ratangarh Police Station, the deceased were returning to Sardarshahar after attending an engagement ceremony in Ratangarh when their car collided head-on with a speeding trailer late Monday night.
Victims Identified:
- Arun Soni (50) Municipal Accounts Officer, Ratangarh Municipality
- Dimple Soni (35) Resident of Sri Ganganagar
- Pankaj Soni (32) Resident of Sardarshahar
The impact was so intense that the car was completely mangled, trapping the victims inside. The rescue team had to cut the vehicle to recover Arun Soni’s body. Following the collision, the trailer overturned, causing a major traffic jam on the highway.
Emergency Response & Investigation
Upon receiving the alert, police and an emergency ambulance (108) arrived at the scene. The victims were rushed to Jalan Hospital in Ratangarh, where doctors declared all three dead on arrival. The bodies have been placed in the mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Family & Relations
According to the police, the victims were family members:
- Dimple Soni was the son of Arun Soni’s paternal aunt (bua).
- Pankaj Soni was Arun Soni’s uncle’s (chacha) son.
