The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that two fresh Western Disturbances will impact Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan over the next few days. Expect rain, snowfall, and a dip in temperatures between February 1-5.

Himachal Pradesh: 5 Days of Rain & Snow Incoming
If you’re in Himachal Pradesh, brace yourself for rain and snowfall from January 31 to February 5.
- Light rain possible today in higher-altitude areas.
- Widespread rain & snowfall expected between February 1-5 in different parts of the state.
- February 2 may bring clear skies, but after that, weather will turn again.
So, if you were planning a winter getaway to Shimla, Manali, or Spiti, keep an eye on the weather!
Delhi-NCR: A Few Dry Days Before Rain Returns
Delhi has been experiencing warmer afternoons with clear skies, but the minimum temperature is still chilly at 13°C.
- Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 22°C.
- Rain expected from February 3-5, bringing a dip in temperatures again.
Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh: Rain Expected Between Feb 3-5
The Western Disturbances will also bring rainfall to parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. So, if you’re in Jaipur, Lucknow, or nearby regions, get ready for cloudy skies and showers early next week.
Jharkhand: Winter Easing Up, But Temps to Rise Further
Jharkhand is finally getting some relief from the cold, with minimum temperatures rising above 10°C across most areas.
- Over the next two days, night temperatures could increase by 4°C.
- No rain expected for the next week, so the weather will remain dry and stable.
Kashmir: ‘Chillai-Kalan’ Ends, More Rain & Snow Likely
The dreaded 40-day Chillai-Kalan (harshest winter period) officially ended on Thursday, but rain and snow are still in the forecast.
- Clouds rolled in by Thursday evening, increasing the chances of overnight snowfall or rain.
- Srinagar recorded -1.5°C, while Pahalgam hit -5.5°C and Gulmarg dipped to -7.6°C.
