Youth Talent Awards Conclude At Udaipurs Cultural Center Daily Udaipur

Udaipur, March 15: The Youth Talent Awards competition, organized by the Western Region Cultural Centre, concluded successfully at the Darpan Auditorium in Shilpgram.

Winners of the competition include Tara Kumari Kamad from Pali, Sher Mohammad from Barmer, Firoz Khan Manganiyar from Barmer, and Lokesh Kumar from Udaipur.

Director Furqan Khan of the Western Region Cultural Centre shared insights about the event, which aimed to showcase the diverse talents of youth aged 18 to 30 in folk singing, folk dancing, folk instrumental music, and folk theater. The competition took place on March 14, 2026, providing a state-level platform to promote these art forms and help participants gain recognition at the state and national levels.

The judging panel consisted of Dr. Prem Bhandari, Prof. Dr. Suresh Sharma, and Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Ameta. Mrs. Ameta emphasized the importance of youth being aware of folk arts. Prof. Dr. Suresh Sharma noted that understanding the original attire and dialect enhances the presentation of folk theater, making it truly remarkable. Dr. Prem Bhandari congratulated the winners and encouraged those who did not succeed to continue improving their skills.

Notable attendees included Durgesh Chandwani, Assistant Director (Finance and Accounts), Chief Engineer C.L. Salvi, and Program Executives Hemant Mehta and Rakesh Mehta. The event was conducted by Mukul Audichya and Siddhant Bhatnagar, with thanks given by Deputy Director (Programs) Pawan Amarawat.

Participants showcased their talents in various categories, including folk singing, folk dancing, folk instrumental music, and folk theater.
