Jaipur, March 04, 2026 — Around 20 students were injured after a crane-like structure collapsed during a Holi celebration at Manipal University in Jaipur on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred during a Holi party organised inside the campus. A DJ setup with an iron square frame and crane-like structure had been installed for the event. Suddenly, the structure collapsed and fell on the students present at the venue.
According to reports, 17 injured students were admitted to Manipal Hospital for treatment, while three others were discharged after receiving primary medical care.
Bagru police station in-charge Rajendra Godara said the incident took place at around 1 pm. Police reached the campus after receiving information about the accident.
Initial investigation revealed that students were participating in a rain dance during the Holi celebration. During this time, some students reportedly hung onto the crane structure, which caused it to lose balance and collapse.
Police said further action in the matter will be taken after the investigation is completed.
