Udaipur, March 24: Preparations for the upcoming municipal elections in 2026 have intensified following directives from the State Election Commission. The Electoral Registration Officer and Additional District Collector (City) of Udaipur released the draft of the voter lists on Tuesday.
These lists have been prepared based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2026. Citizens can review the voter lists at the offices of the respective enumerators, the Electoral Registration Officer, the Additional District Collector (City) office, and the municipal corporation office.
On the same day, a meeting was held with representatives of political parties to inform them about the draft publication. They were also notified about the invitation for claims and objections. Voters can now submit claims to add, remove, or amend their names in the voter lists.
Ward meetings will be held at designated polling stations on March 25, 2026, from 9 AM to 5 PM, where the voter lists will be read aloud. Objections can be submitted until April 7. Special campaigns will be conducted on March 29 and April 5, 2026, during which enumerators will be present at polling stations all day to accept applications. From March 26 to April 7, enumerators will be available for half the day at polling stations and in their respective areas.
