
Udaipur, March 24: In a significant achievement for Rajasthan‘s emerging tech landscape, Nimo Labs has successfully unveiled an AI-based humanoid robot named NIKKAI (Nikki). Nitin Purohit, the director of Nimo Labs, shared that this robot was developed from the ground up.
Registered under iStart, the startup Nimo Labs India Private Limited is actively working in the robotics sector, with students trained by them consistently participating in ideathons organized by iStart. The Rajasthan government is promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through the iStart project. This innovation by Nimo Labs is set to be a milestone for the Udaipur region.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, educators, and industry experts who praised this innovation. The NIKKAI robot exemplifies artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and interactive technologies. Experts have described this achievement as “unique in itself,” considering it a major technological milestone for Rajasthan, showcasing local talent and practical innovation.
During the program, Jivan Ram, Deputy Director of iStart, commended Nimo Labs’ efforts, stating that such innovations open new avenues for collaboration and strengthen the startup ecosystem. Meanwhile, Ganesh, the Additional Director of MSME, emphasized that robots like these are essential for the future and mark a significant beginning. He also noted the high demand for automation in industries, especially where cost-effective solutions are needed.
In this context, Satish Kumar Acharya, the regional coordinator of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, remarked that maintaining a human touch alongside technological advancements is equally important for balanced and beneficial progress for society. The Nimo Labs team stated that their goal is to prepare students for the future through experiential and project-based education. The NIKKAI robot will play a crucial role in education, performance, and human-robot interaction. This achievement not only establishes Nimo Labs as a leading innovation center but also empowers Rajasthan as an emerging hub in robotics and AI.
