Singrauli, March 24: A victim has reported a case of fraud involving ₹800,000 to the Superintendent of Police’s office. The accused, Puneet Shahwal, allegedly took this amount under the pretense of providing delivery logistics services. When the victim requested a refund, Shahwal reportedly threatened him with false criminal charges, including physical and mental harassment.
The victim claims that Shahwal’s family also participated in the intimidation. They allegedly threatened to file false rape cases against him and his family members. Whenever the victim attempted to contact Shahwal, he would not answer calls. Attempts to visit Shahwal’s home were met with verbal abuse from his parents.
The victim’s mother received threats that if anything happened to Shahwal, they would hold her responsible. Additionally, a lawyer representing Shahwal allegedly used abusive language and threatened the victim with legal action in district court. Shahwal’s brother, who claims to hold a government job, also threatened the victim, stating he could manipulate the police and court system to his advantage.
In light of these events, the victim has urged the police to take appropriate action against Shahwal and his family, demanding the return of his money.
