BJP Leader Ajit Singh Mehta Targets Sachin Pilot in Tonk Rally

Tonk, April 28: Political tensions escalated during a BJP rally in Tonk, Rajasthan, coinciding with the visit of the party’s national president, Nitin Nabin. Former BJP MLA Ajit Singh Mehta launched a sharp attack on Congress leader and Tonk MLA Sachin Pilot.

While addressing the gathering, Mehta remarked, “Sachin Pilot hails from UP, yet he comes to Rajasthan to pursue his political ambitions and dreams of becoming the Chief Minister.” His comments elicited a strong reaction from the party workers present at the event. This statement was made on April 27 during the inauguration of the newly constructed BJP district office and a workers’ conference in Tonk. The event was attended by several senior leaders, including Nitin Nabin, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, and state president Maan Rathore.

At this rally, BJP leaders heavily criticized the Congress party. Prior to this, Rajasthan BJP in-charge Radhamohan Das Agrawal had controversially referred to Sachin Pilot as a “chameleon.” In response, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot defended Pilot, asserting that he is firmly rooted in the Congress party. The political discourse surrounding the Tonk seat is intensifying, and as the upcoming elections approach, the exchange of accusations between BJP and Congress is expected to escalate further.
