Sikar, June 1: Satish Punia, the Haryana in-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), responded to the incident where party president Madan Rathore was shown black flags by National Democratic Party (RLP) workers. He emphasized that while protesting is a democratic right, it must be conducted in a logical, democratic, and respectful manner. He stated that while dialogue and dissent are natural in politics, maintaining decorum in public life is equally essential.
Punia attended a two-day BJP training camp in Sikar on Saturday. During a media interaction, he remarked that the public elevates leaders, but this does not mean that individuals should forget political decorum. He stressed that protests hold dignity in a democracy, and political parties should honor that.
In response to the alleged audio controversy involving a state minister, Punia noted that the minister has claimed the audio was edited using artificial intelligence (AI) and has denied its authenticity. He mentioned that an FIR has been filed, and an investigation is underway. If anyone has wrongfully created or disseminated the audio, they should face consequences.
He added that the filing of a case against the minister indicates that the government is functioning impartially and that investigations are being conducted according to the law. The BJP organization is also closely monitoring the situation.
Punia declared that the BJP is currently the world’s largest political party, boasting around 140 million members. He explained that the strength of an organization is determined not just by numbers but also by its ideology, constitution, and operational methods.
He noted that politics is evolving. Unlike during the Janata Party era when social media did not exist, today, artificial intelligence and digital platforms are crucial components of politics and public relations. Therefore, party workers must adapt to these changing times.
Punia shared that the BJP is conducting training campaigns across nearly a thousand organizational districts nationwide. Future training programs will be organized for various fronts and cells to help workers better understand the party’s ideology and operational style.
He concluded by stating that while the BJP was once considered a cadre-based party, it has now transformed into a broad-based, worker-oriented organization. The journey from three seats to 303 is a testament to the organizational strength and commitment of its workers. The BJP is a party that works for the public and organization 365 days a year.
