Jaipur, June 4: The ongoing verbal conflict between BJP state president Madan Rathore and Hanuman Beniwal, leader of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and MP from Nagaur, has taken a legal turn. Following a legal notice sent by Beniwal, Rathore publicly emphasized the need for maintaining decorum in political discourse during a press conference on Thursday.

Rathore confirmed that he has received the legal notice but did not clarify whether he would respond formally. He stated that all legal aspects of the case are being reviewed by his lawyers, and the next steps will be determined based on legal advice.

He remarked that differences, criticism, and opposition are natural in a democratic system, but the decline in the quality of political discourse is concerning. Rathore urged all public representatives to exercise restraint and maintain decorum in their words and actions to steer politics in a positive direction.

Without naming anyone, Rathore asserted that maintaining the dignity of language in public life is the responsibility of every representative. He added that expressing one’s views, making requests, or petitions are part of democratic rights and should not be misconstrued.

Notably, Hanuman Beniwal had previously sent a legal notice to Rathore demanding a public apology. Beniwal accused Rathore of making statements during a public event and media interaction on May 30 that were damaging to his political image and reputation.

The notice also stated that some comments were of a personal and objectionable nature, which do not align with democratic values and healthy political dialogue. This notice was sent through a law firm based in Delhi.

This incident has sparked new discussions in Rajasthan’s political landscape. Political analysts believe that this dispute between the two leaders may escalate in the future. Currently, all eyes are on whether Madan Rathore will formally respond to the legal notice.
