Jaipur, June 12: The state government has taken the power outage incident at the BJP state office in Jaipur seriously, which occurred during a program attended by Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar has ordered an investigation into the matter, stating that strict action will be taken against any officer or engineer found negligent. He emphasized that any laxity in essential services like electricity will not be tolerated, and accountability will be ensured.
Reports indicate that the power supply was disrupted multiple times during the event on Thursday, where Minister Vaishnaw was interacting with the media. The repeated outages became a topic of discussion, prompting the state government to take notice.
On Friday, Minister Nagar requested a detailed report from officials of the Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation and Jaipur Discom regarding the incident. He instructed them to conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of the power disruptions, whether due to technical faults, maintenance issues, or negligence at any level.
The minister stated that the state government is continuously working to strengthen and ensure a reliable electricity supply. Therefore, incidents of power interruptions during significant events will be taken seriously. He also directed officials to take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
The government has made it clear that if the investigation report identifies any officer, employee, or engineer as responsible, appropriate action will be taken according to regulations. Currently, the investigation is ongoing as reports from the relevant departments are awaited.
