Jaipur, July 14: BJP state president Madan Rathore has responded sharply to statements made by Congress leaders regarding the alleged misappropriation of donations at Butati Dham and the Ram Temple. He accused certain individuals of systematically attempting to damage places of faith and hurt religious sentiments. Rathore emphasized that strict action will be taken against those found guilty in such matters.
He further alleged that external forces might be trying to mislead the public and promote such activities. Rathore stated that any conspiracy against places of faith and religious sentiments will not be tolerated.
In reference to the Butati Dham case, Rathore criticized Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra’s remarks as unfortunate. He pointed out that Congress-affiliated individuals have been involved in the management of Butati Dham, where a Congress councilor’s husband holds the presidency.
Rathore claimed that Dotasra attempted to gain political advantage by accusing the BJP, but this move backfired on the Congress. He remarked that Dotasra had scored a “self-goal” in this matter, as the opposition made political statements without understanding the facts, putting themselves in a difficult position.
Addressing recent controversies surrounding the Ram Temple, Rathore noted that those who have no connection to the temple and its traditions are making baseless accusations to create confusion in society. He mentioned that the government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter and that strict action will be taken against the guilty.
He highlighted the dedication and struggle of Champat Rai, stating that tarnishing the reputation of such devoted individuals is regrettable. Rathore asserted that the Ram Temple is not just a religious site but a symbol of faith and cultural consciousness for millions.
He emphasized that no one should play with an individual’s religious beliefs. Devotees contribute donations to temples out of their faith, which supports temple development, service activities, and various public welfare initiatives. Thus, politicizing allegations of donation misappropriation is inappropriate and hurts people’s faith.
Rathore remarked that history shows that foreign invaders attacked India’s faith and cultural heritage, damaging significant religious sites like Somnath, Ayodhya, and Mathura, while also attempting to undermine the education system. He condemned the ongoing attempts by certain forces to attack societal faith, which the BJP strongly opposes.
He reiterated that faith inspires society, instills trust, and builds self-confidence. Any attempt to weaken this faith will not be accepted, and thorough investigations should be conducted to expose those responsible.
Rathore also expressed deep sorrow over an unfortunate incident involving maternal care, calling it a highly sensitive issue. He assured that the state government is taking this matter seriously and will take necessary steps to prevent such incidents from recurring.
