Alwar, March 17: A police constable named Ramprakash, stationed at the Gola Ka Bas police outpost in Alwar district, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. This operation was conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the Dausa outpost.
According to a complaint received by the ACB, the officer was demanding a bribe in exchange for facilitating a settlement in a case registered against the complainant’s parents and younger brother at the Tahla police station in Alwar district.
After verifying the complaint, a trap operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General Anil Kayal, led by Police Sub-Inspector Ravindra Singh from the ACB Dausa outpost. During this operation, Ramprakash was apprehended while accepting the bribe from the complainant.
Initial investigations reveal that the bribe was being solicited in collusion with Ramnarayan, the investigating officer of the case. The ACB is currently questioning the accused and further investigations are ongoing.
