
Udaipur, March 25: The West Zone Cultural Centre in Udaipur will celebrate World Theatre Day with a performance of the play ‘Parsai Ka Sansar’ on March 27 at 7 PM. The event will take place at the Darpan Auditorium in Shilpgram.
Director Dr. Ashwin Dalvi of the West Zone Cultural Centre announced that this performance will be presented by participants of a 40-day theatre workshop that began on February 20. The workshop was led by renowned theatre artist and former director of the National School of Drama in New Delhi, Professor Suresh Sharma, along with the North Central Zone Cultural Centre in Prayagraj.
Professor Suresh Sharma, an awardee of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, directs the play, with Tanay Vivek Pandey serving as the assistant director. ‘Parsai Ka Sansar’ is based on the works of the acclaimed satirist Harishankar Parsai, showcasing sharp and insightful satire on contemporary social issues. Admission for the general public will be free of charge.
