Jaipur, April 18: A purported letter attributed to former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has sparked significant political turmoil in Rajasthan. The letter circulated widely on social media, prompting various political leaders and activists to question the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), intensifying the political debate.
In response, Raje quickly denounced the letter as fake. She took to social media platform X, stating, “Truth does not require a defense. The viral letter is merely the handiwork of well-wishers.” She further expressed her support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to ensure equal participation of women in decision-making processes.
Raje also clarified that attempts to spread confusion through such forged documents will not deter the strength of women in the country, which has never faltered and will not in the future.
The viral letter claimed to be addressed to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, expressing views on the women’s reservation bill and delimitation that diverged from the party line. Following Raje’s official denial, it became clear that the letter was indeed fake, bringing an end to the ongoing political discussions based on it.
