
Udaipur, March 14: In a significant operation against illegal drugs, police in Udaipur have arrested two individuals, including a notorious criminal, under the ongoing campaign named Operation Trinetra. Both arrests are linked to separate cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with further investigations underway.
In the Savina police jurisdiction, officers apprehended Fardeen Sheikh, also known as Buggi, a history-sheeter who had been evading capture for a long time. Sheikh, a resident of Mallatlai, Udaipur, has a criminal record with approximately 35 prior cases against him.
Meanwhile, in the Kotda police area, authorities arrested Shahid, also known as Syed Mohammad, who resides near the Sheetla Mata Temple in Kotda, Udaipur. During the arrest, police seized 5.1 kilograms of illegal marijuana from his possession.
Interrogations of both suspects are ongoing, and law enforcement is actively searching for additional individuals connected to the illegal drug network.
