A 1,447 km Bicycle Journey from India Gate to Gateway of India Spreading the Message of Cleanliness

Udaipur, January 17: To realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat,’ two cyclists, Akbar Ali Bandookwala and Rishabh Jain, are embarking on an inspirational bicycle journey from India Gate in New Delhi to Gateway of India in Mumbai to spread the message of cleanliness.
Udaipur native Akbar Ali Bandookwala, currently residing in China, shared that their journey titled ‘Swachh Bharat Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Ore’ aims to create mass awareness about cleanliness. Accompanied by his fellow cyclist Rishabh Jain, the duo will commence their journey on Monday, January 20, from India Gate in Delhi.
Route and Activities
- January 22: The cyclists will reach Kherwara via Bhilwara, passing through Udaipur.
- Event in Udaipur: A special felicitation ceremony will be organized at DPS School, Udaipur, to honor the cyclists for their dedication and efforts.
- January 23: They will depart from Kherwara and head toward Nadiad.
- January 26: The journey will culminate at the Gateway of India in Mumbai, marking the completion of their 1,447 km mission.
