Udaipur, March 20: A disaster management training camp was organized today at the Hindustan Scout and Guide State Training Center in Udaipur, located in Sector 14, Govardhan Vilas. This event was held under the joint auspices of the Hindustan Scout and Guide Rajasthan State, NDRF, and SDRF. Scouts and guides were trained on essential disaster management techniques.
Narendra Audichya, the state secretary of the Hindustan Scout, reported that the camp featured specialized training in relief and rescue operations, directed by Commandant Surendra Singh from NDRF Vadodara (Gujarat). The NDRF team, led by Inspector Kailash Batham, conducted theory classes, demonstration sessions, and showcased various tools used in disaster management.
The training covered critical topics such as medical first response, collapsed structure search and rescue, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear effects, flood water rescue, and fire safety. Participants learned about first aid techniques, CPR, and rescue operations during floods and earthquakes. The children were educated through an exhibition of various tools used in relief and rescue operations.
Among the distinguished guests were Inspector Kailash Batham from NDRF Vadodara and Sub-Inspector Mahendra Singh from SDRF Rajasthan’s Udaipur Battalion. The event was also attended by key figures from the Hindustan Scout and Guide organization, including State Organization Commissioner Ripu Daman Gill, State Training Commissioner Pradeep Meghwal, and District Organizer Shanta Vaishnav, among others. The NDRF and SDRF officials were honored with mementos presented by the Hindustan Scout and Guide organization.
