District-Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee Meeting Reviews Services and Directs Activation of Machines

Udaipur, March 24: A district-level Aadhaar monitoring committee meeting was held on Tuesday under the direction of the District Collector and chaired by Additional District Collector (City) Jitendra Ojha.

The meeting saw the presence of several officials, including Pooja Sahu, Joint Director of the Information Technology and Communication Department, Hitesh Kumar Purbiya, Deputy Director, Pratibha Gupta, Chief District Education Officer from the Education Department, Dinesh Parmar from the Women and Child Development Department, Kavita Sharma from the Postal Department/Indian Post Payments, Hemraj from the District Lead Bank, and representatives from various departments’ Aadhaar registrars.

During the meeting, the Additional District Collector reviewed the operations of Aadhaar enrollment centers under various registrars and assessed the progress of Aadhaar enrollment and updates in the district. All Aadhaar registrars were instructed to coordinate at the state level to activate inactive machines. Additionally, directions were given to increase the number of Aadhaar enrollment centers across all blocks in the district.

The registrars were also mandated to conduct regular inspections of all Aadhaar centers and ensure that Aadhaar operators comply with regulations. They were instructed to display the service fee list as determined by UIDAI at the centers.

Currently, the Information Technology and Communication Department is organizing camps for mandatory biometric updates for students in schools. The Education Department and the Women and Child Development Department were directed to provide necessary support for achieving 100% Aadhaar enrollment for children. They were also instructed to coordinate with their departmental headquarters to activate closed Aadhaar machines.

Furthermore, the public was informed about the helpline number 1947 and the portal for Aadhaar-related issues. Given the importance of Aadhaar in various key state and central government schemes, all Aadhaar registrars were urged to encourage the public to enroll and update their Aadhaar information.
