Inspiration from Mann Ki Baat: Need for Respectful Language and Positive Dialogue in Politics

Jaipur, May 31: Madan Rathore, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio program, ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ serves not just as a communication tool but as a powerful campaign to inspire society, foster positive thinking, and promote national development through public participation. He made these remarks after collectively listening to the 134th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with party officials and workers at the BJP state office on Sunday.

Rathore noted that the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s young talents, innovations, local products, cultural heritage, and the positive changes brought about by public participation during his address. He pointed out that by mentioning young athletes who set national records in the 100-meter race, the Prime Minister encouraged the new generation to excel and strive for greatness.

The program also addressed critical topics such as traditional beverages during the scorching heat, water conservation, river cleanliness, and swimming. Additionally, it promoted Indian fruits and local products under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign. Rathore stated that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ energizes society by showcasing positive initiatives happening across the country.

He further mentioned that if other political parties or organizations draw inspiration from the BJP’s training programs, it would be a welcome sign for democracy. Rathore highlighted that many young and retired employees arrived at the BJP office on bicycles, promoting energy conservation and environmental awareness.

During the discussion, he stressed the importance of maintaining decorum and civility in political dialogue. He acknowledged that differences in opinion are natural in a democracy, and the opposition has a duty to question government policies and assert their views. However, it is the responsibility of all representatives and parties to uphold the dignity and restraint of language in political discourse.

Rathore asserted that the strength of democracy lies in healthy debates, positive dialogue, and a courteous political culture. Personal bitterness and uncivil language undermine democratic values. Therefore, all political parties should promote restrained language and positive communication.

The event was attended by Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham, former opposition leader Rajendra Rathore, BJP General Secretary Bhupendra Saini, MP Manju Sharma, state minister Apoorva Singh, Ajit Mandhan, media in-charge Pramod Vashisth, office in-charge Mukesh Parikh, IT in-charge Avinash Joshi, along with state officials, front organizations, and party workers.
