Ranchi, May 9, 2025 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for heatwave conditions across several districts in Jharkhand from May 10 to May 13, warning of intense heat likely to affect parts of Santhal Pargana. Meanwhile, the arrival of the monsoon may be earlier than usual, raising hopes of timely rainfall in the region.

Cloudy Skies and Rain Bring Temporary Relief
On Thursday morning, light to moderate cloud cover was observed in Ranchi, Giridih, Jamtara, Latehar, and Dhanbad. These areas also reported mild to moderate rainfall, with gusty winds up to 40 km/h and lightning activity forecasted. Due to this shift in weather, morning temperatures remained low, but the IMD has indicated the heat will return by the weekend.
