Minor Killed in Knife Attack After Road Dispute in Udaipur

UDAIPUR, March 04, 2026 — A minor boy was killed and his companion seriously injured in a knife attack following a dispute over giving way on the road in Udaipur district on Tuesday evening.

The incident took place in Kanpur village under the Bawalwara police station area. According to Bawalwara SHO Ganpat Singh, the injured youth is currently undergoing treatment at Dungarpur Hospital.

Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and shifted the body of the deceased to the Kherwara mortuary. The family members filed a case against the named accused on Wednesday. The post-mortem of the deceased will be conducted today and police are searching for the suspects.

According to preliminary investigation, the dispute started while the youths were riding motorcycles on the road and an argument broke out over not giving side. The deceased minor and his companion were returning after celebrating the Holi festival when some bike riders behind them allegedly made comments and threatened them.

The argument soon escalated into a violent clash. The attackers allegedly stabbed the minor multiple times in the chest, causing him to collapse on the road after losing a large amount of blood. His companion was also attacked and suffered a serious head injury.

The injured minor was declared dead during treatment at the hospital. The victim’s family has filed a complaint against three to four named youths. Police are examining nearby CCTV footage and conducting searches to locate the accused.
