Ranchi, February 26: BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular leader globally, attributing this to his policies that have steered India in a new direction in the 21st century. This remark came after PM Modi became the first leader in the world to surpass 100 million followers on Instagram.
Shahdev emphasized that Instagram is regarded as the most active platform among youth, and PM Modi’s achievement of 100 million followers is clear evidence of his status as the world’s largest youth icon. People from not just India, but across the globe, are inspired by PM Modi’s leadership and vision.
Speaking on India-Israel relations, Shahdev noted that the ties between the two nations have been strong for a long time, with Israel being India’s “all-weather friend.” He highlighted that India has always stood by Israel in times of need, recalling PM Modi’s strong condemnation of Hamas’s attacks.
Responding to Akhilesh Yadav’s comments regarding Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s foreign trip, Shahdev remarked that this is Adityanath’s first overseas visit since taking office, aimed at attracting investment to the state.
With a hint of sarcasm, Shahdev pointed out that while Akhilesh Yadav used to travel abroad for leisure and jungle safaris, Yogi Adityanath, being a sanyasi, has gone abroad to work for the state’s interests.
It is noteworthy that Akhilesh Yadav had previously commented on CM Yogi’s trip to Japan, questioning the shift in stance of those who once criticized foreign travels.
