Ajmer, July 7: Senior BJP leader and former opposition leader Rajendra Rathore humorously addressed questions regarding his perceived silence within the party. He stated, “Where is the silence? I spoke in Jodhpur yesterday, I am speaking in Ajmer today, and I will speak in Jaipur tomorrow. We are not silent; we are vocal for local.”
Rathore participated in a student-youth conference organized by the BJP Youth Front at the Medical College auditorium in Ajmer, commemorating the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. During the event, he engaged with the media, discussing his political role, the functioning of the RPSC, and youth participation.
When asked about the RPSC chairperson and the commission’s operations, Rathore remarked that the selection process is ongoing, and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is well-informed about all facts. He emphasized that the recently appointed members of the RPSC are distinguished academics from various fields, and their integrity is unquestionable.
Rathore asserted that the current government has made unprecedented efforts to maintain the sanctity of the RPSC. Regarding the absence of student union elections in Rajasthan, he noted that the matter is currently under judicial review, making it inappropriate to comment further.
Addressing the youth, Rathore highlighted that the BJP Youth Front is campaigning for youth involvement in thought, resolution, and nation-building on the occasion of Dr. Mukherjee’s 125th anniversary. He mentioned that the conference participants pledged to contribute to making India a leader by 2047 and to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.
On his political role, Rathore stated that he has always worked as a grassroots worker and will continue to do so. He emphasized that the highest position in the BJP is that of a worker.
He advised the youth to avoid shortcuts in politics and to work within the organization based on principles. Rathore assured that the BJP recognizes every worker’s efforts and provides opportunities to deserving candidates at the right time.
The event was attended by Union Minister Bhagirath Chaudhary, state president of the Youth Front Shankar Gaura, Omprakash Bhadhana, chairman of the Devenarayan Board, along with other BJP Youth Front officials, students, youth workers, and party representatives. Speakers remembered Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s life, thoughts, and contributions to nation-building.
