Ghanshyam Tiwari Responds to Ashok Gehlots Remarks, Accuses Congress of Appeasement Politics

Jaipur, June 15: Political tensions have escalated following former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot‘s remarks regarding a ban on the BJP. Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari sharply countered Gehlot’s statements, accusing the Congress party of engaging in appeasement and divisive politics.

Speaking to the media at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur, Tiwari claimed that Congress initiated Hindu-Muslim politics long ago. He alleged that the party formed a political alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala, an organization historically linked to the country’s partition. Tiwari asserted that this clearly indicates Congress’s commitment to appeasement politics.

He urged Congress leaders to learn from history, recalling that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was banned in 1948 and that a state of emergency was declared in 1975, both decisions that were later reversed. Tiwari suggested that such actions have politically harmed Congress.

Notably, Ashok Gehlot recently stated at an event in Jaipur that the BJP practices politics based on religion. He suggested that if Indira Gandhi were Prime Minister today, she would have banned the BJP. Tiwari’s comments were a direct response to these statements.

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi, Tiwari remarked that Congress considers him its primary leader, yet under his leadership, the party has faced continuous electoral defeats. He quipped that the BJP hopes Rahul Gandhi completes his “century” of electoral losses.

Tiwari emphasized that while Congress engages in divisive politics, the BJP operates on a “Nation First” policy, promoting inclusive development. He claimed that various government schemes have benefited all communities without discrimination, citing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and scholarship programs as examples of how minority communities have also gained from these initiatives.

He also addressed the controversy surrounding Rahul Gandhi’s proposed student dialogue program in Kota and the NEET exam issue. Tiwari clarified that the opposition’s claims of a “paper leak” referred to a few questions allegedly being shared, rather than the entire exam being compromised. He distinguished between a complete leak and isolated questions being exposed.

Following the statements from Gehlot and Tiwari, the political landscape in the state has become increasingly charged, with both parties presenting their respective political and ideological arguments.
