Newly Elected BJP Councillors Honored at Ceremony in Jaipur

Jaipur, October 4: A ceremony honoring the newly elected BJP councillors and candidates from the Civil Lines assembly constituency took place on Sunday at the Constitutional Club of Rajasthan. The event featured the Mayor of Jaipur, Sunil Kothari, and Deputy Mayor Saroj Kanwar, who represents Ward 90, among other local councillors and candidates. The program was organized by Civil Lines MLA Dr. Gopal Sharma.

Mayor Sunil Kothari congratulated the newly elected councillors from Wards 88 to 103, which comprise 16 wards in the Civil Lines assembly area.

‘Prioritize Public Service’

Mayor Kothari reiterated his commitment to developing Jaipur into a model city. He urged councillors, candidates, and workers to prioritize public service above all else. He emphasized the need for comprehensive city development, cleanliness, smooth traffic flow, improved infrastructure, and welfare initiatives. The attendees pledged to strengthen the organization and elevate Jaipur to new heights of development.

Equal Support for Mayor and Deputy Mayor

Both officials present were elected in the last week of September. Sunil Kothari was elected as Mayor of Jaipur on September 25, receiving 89 votes. The following day, Saroj Kanwar became the first female Deputy Mayor of Jaipur, also with 89 votes. This indicates equal support for both positions from the BJP.

Active Leadership Post-Election

Since taking office, Kothari has remained actively engaged. On September 29, he held his first review meeting, focusing on halting illegal constructions and resolving pending cases. He even took to the streets at night to oversee cleanliness efforts.

Notable Attendees

The event was attended by BJP Jaipur City President Amit Goyal, District Secretary Rajesh Tambi, Rekha Rathore, and Rakesh Gurjar, the BJP assembly coordinator for the Civil Lines constituency, along with other party officials and workers from the area.
