
Ahmedabad, April 18: A remarkable sum of ₹1.55 crore was unveiled at the Sawaliya Seth Temple during a special ceremony held on Chaturdashi Thursday. The event commenced with the worship of Lord Sawaliya Seth, followed by the opening of the temple’s donation box.
According to Babulal Ojha, the vice president of the temple committee, the total amount collected from the donation box was ₹84,71,395. Additionally, ₹70,65,345 was received online, bringing the grand total to ₹1,55,37,340.
The donation box was opened in the presence of temple officials, including Executive Officer Prahlad Rai Soni, and committee members such as Shankar Lal Jat, Treasurer Ashok Agarwal, and others. The ceremony was marked by the Rajbhog Aarti, which is a significant ritual at the temple.
The event attracted numerous attendees, including staff from Bank of Baroda, ICICI, and Rajasthan Baroda Gramin Bank, along with temple employees and members.
This occasion not only highlights the generosity of devotees but also reinforces the temple’s role as a spiritual and community hub.
