
Udaipur, March 19: The Yoga Festival 2026 was held at the National Pilgrimage Pratap Gaurav Kendra on March 18, organized by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Arbudaranya Health Institute, and the Indian Yoga Association’s Rajasthan branch. The event commenced at 7:00 AM, attracting a large number of participants who engaged in the Common Yoga Protocol practice.
Yoga instructor Pushpdeep led the session according to the guidelines set by the Government of India. The event featured esteemed guests, including Dr. Rahul Jain, Principal of RNT Medical College, retired Dean Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar, and Dr. Rajveer Singh, Vice President of NMO Udaipur Metropolitan. The program was chaired by Anurag Saxena, Director of Pratap Gaurav Kendra.
Himanshu Paliwal, Joint Secretary of the Indian Yoga Association, emphasized that this initiative aims to train individuals in the Common Yoga Protocol, encouraging more people to participate in International Yoga Day celebrations. He noted that yoga is India’s invaluable gift to the world, promoting the Indian cultural vision of “Sarve Bhavantu Niramaya,” which is being realized through yoga. Since the United Nations recognized International Yoga Day, Indian yoga has gained global prominence.
Today, the world is embracing yoga for better health. The festival saw participation from students of local schools and colleges, representatives from yoga organizations, various social groups, elected officials, and distinguished citizens. Key contributors to the event included Manohar Paliwal, Shyam Singh, Achal Shankar Sharma, and Naman, among others. Approximately 800 individuals took part in this significant celebration.
