Jaipur, March 29: Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has issued a sharp warning to BJP leaders regarding their family members’ involvement in politics. Speaking to the media at Jaipur Airport, Gehlot advised that ministers, including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, should keep their sons away from power. He expressed concern that since the new government took office, the sons of these officials have been receiving undue encouragement, leading to potential controversies.
Gehlot emphasized that keeping their sons close to power could result in their involvement in inappropriate activities, which could tarnish both the government and the family’s reputation.
In addition, Gehlot responded to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s recent remarks, where he used the term “brokerage” in reference to Pakistan’s mediation. Gehlot stated that such language is inappropriate for a foreign minister and called for an apology. He stressed that efforts to establish global peace should not be undermined by such rhetoric, and every nation must collaborate for international harmony.
Gehlot also expressed his concerns about the current state of the country, noting that the direction India is heading is alarming. He referenced the era of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, highlighting that India’s international standing was strong then, whereas the current situation appears to be deteriorating.
Furthermore, Gehlot criticized the central government over the rising gas crisis, stating that the lack of timely preparation has worsened the situation, affecting the common people. He echoed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s sentiments, pointing out that the government often makes delayed decisions, exacerbating crises.
