Ajmer, June 1: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, arrived in Pushkar, Ajmer district, on Monday. He attended the closing session of the Congress’s ten-day national retreat and training camp. The camp aims to provide guidance on organizational strength, leadership development, and upcoming political strategies to district Congress presidents from Rajasthan and Delhi.

Gandhi landed at Kishangarh Airport around 10:05 AM, where he was welcomed by several senior leaders, including former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, and state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. Kishangarh MLA Vikas Chaudhary presented a symbolic plow to Gandhi during the reception.

Training for 65 District Leaders and Officials
The retreat, held at the Wild Rose Resort in Pushkar, includes 65 organizational officials, comprising 50 district Congress presidents from Rajasthan and 15 from Delhi. In a special session, Rahul Gandhi will address the district presidents, offering insights on organizational building, public outreach, empowering workers, and strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

According to Congress leaders, Gandhi will also review the training programs conducted over the past ten days and emphasize the need for the organization to prepare for upcoming electoral challenges.

Meeting with Families
Family members of the district presidents also attended the event. Rahul Gandhi took the opportunity to meet them, engage in conversations, and take group photos. Many leaders and workers shared their past political experiences during this time.

Mohammad Ramzan, a senior Congress leader connected to the Didwana-Kuchaman district president’s family, reminisced with Gandhi about the early electoral days, recalling how campaign materials were hand-prepared.

Focus on Organizational Strength
The Congress leadership believes that district presidents are crucial to the organization. The training camp aims to familiarize them with new political challenges, public relations techniques, and organizational strategies to strengthen the party’s foundation for the upcoming elections.

Kharge’s Visit Canceled
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was also scheduled to attend the closing session but had to cancel at the last minute. Nevertheless, enthusiasm remains high among Congress workers and leaders regarding the retreat’s conclusion.
