Dehradun/Uttarkashi, January 25 : The district of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand experienced yet another earthquake early this morning at 5:48 AM, causing panic among residents. This marks the fourth tremor in two days. According to officials, no reports of casualties or property damage have been received so far.

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.04 on the Richter scale, had its epicenter in the forested area between the villages of Khurkot and Bharangaon in the Dunda tehsil.

Recurring Tremors Over Two Days

Uttarkashi has been experiencing a series of tremors:

Friday (January 24): Three earthquakes struck the district headquarters and surrounding areas, including Maneri, Bhatwari, and Dunda regions.
The tremors were recorded at:
- 7:41 AM: Magnitude 2.7
- 8:19 AM: Magnitude 3.5
- 10:59 AM: A mild tremor not measurable on the Richter scale.

During Friday’s tremors, Varunavat Mountain’s landslide zone witnessed the falling of debris and stones, further alarming residents.
