National Security News — The ongoing encounter in the Chhatru forest area of Jammu & Kashmir’s Kishtwar district has entered a critical phase, with two more unidentified terrorists neutralized, bringing the total death toll to three. The joint operation by security forces and Jammu & Kashmir Police continues in the dense forest terrain, officials confirmed Saturday morning.

Fresh Developments from the Encounter Site
According to a senior police officer, the additional neutralization of militants occurred during the intensified combing operation, which has been underway since Friday. The forested area continues to remain under tight cordon, as forces carry out search and sanitization operations to ensure no further threats remain.
“Two more terrorists have been killed in the Chhatru encounter. The total count stands at three. The operation is still active,” said the official.
