Jaipur, July 20: The All India Congress Committee has appointed former Rajasthan MLA Suchitra Ary as the National Coordinator of the OBC Women’s Wing. Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot congratulated her, expressing confidence that she would effectively address issues related to women and the Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The national president of the OBC department, Anil Jaihind, announced the formation of the new executive committee for the women’s wing on Sunday. While the Congress party already has an active women’s wing, this new committee aims to specifically focus on social, political, and organizational issues concerning women under the OBC department.

The new executive committee includes nine women leaders from Rajasthan and a total of 39 women leaders from across the country have been assigned various responsibilities. Suchitra Ary’s appointment is seen as a significant organizational achievement for the Rajasthan Congress.

Sachin Pilot extended his congratulations to Ary via the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to former MLA Suchitra Ary on her appointment as the National Coordinator of the OBC Women’s Wing.”

Pilot expressed his full confidence that Ary would robustly raise important issues related to women and the OBC community through her experience and leadership. He also wished success to all the office bearers of the new executive committee.

The focus of the new committee will be on women’s empowerment and OBC issues. Pilot emphasized that under the guidance of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, the organization will reach new heights. He is optimistic that the new committee will provide fresh direction for social upliftment, social justice, and women’s empowerment.

With the establishment of the OBC Women’s Wing, the organization is expected to prioritize increasing women’s political participation, addressing the issues faced by OBC women, and ensuring their active role at the organizational level.
