TVS Motors has reported a powerful performance for May 2025, with the TVS Jupiter emerging as the company’s top-selling model. The popular scooter not only outpaced all other TVS offerings, including the Apache and Sport, but also secured a commanding position in the Indian two-wheeler market.

Jupiter Leads with Over 97,000 Units Sold
TVS Jupiter recorded 97,606 units sold in May 2025, capturing a dominant 31.70% share of TVS Motors’ overall two-wheeler sales. While the scooter witnessed a 4.86% year-on-year decline, it still managed to comfortably clinch the number one spot in the company’s lineup. Its blend of practicality, reliability, and user-friendly features continues to attract a broad consumer base across India.
Apache Takes Second Spot with Steady Growth
Following the Jupiter, the TVS Apache stood strong in second place with 49,099 units sold, marking a 7.60% increase compared to the same month last year. Known for its performance and sporty styling, the Apache series continues to resonate with enthusiasts looking for aggressive yet dependable motorcycles.
TVS XL and Raider Show Mixed Results
In third place was the TVS XL, with 37,264 units sold, though it saw a 3.83% dip in year-on-year sales. The TVS Raider, positioned at number four, clocked 35,401 units, but faced a sharper 17.73% year-on-year drop. This suggests a shift in consumer preference toward more utility-oriented scooters like the Jupiter over sportier models.
iQube and NTorq Retain Mid-Tier Stability
The TVS iQube, the brand’s electric offering, secured fifth place with 27,642 units sold, achieving a slight 0.14% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, the TVS NTorq followed in sixth with 25,205 units, experiencing a modest 0.70% annual decline. Both models reflect stable demand in their respective categories.
TVS Sport, Radeon, and Zest Register Declines
The TVS Sport came in at number seven with 11,822 units, despite an 8.32% drop compared to last year. The TVS Radeon and TVS Zest followed with 10,315 and 8,069 units respectively. While the Radeon’s performance dipped, the Zest saw marginal year-on-year growth of 0.10%, indicating steady appeal among select user segments.
Ronin Shows Outstanding Growth
One of the standout performers this month was the TVS Ronin, which experienced a massive 179.27% year-on-year sales surge, totaling 4,770 units. The bike’s fresh styling and modern features have clearly resonated with a new generation of riders seeking a premium yet approachable motorcycle.
Star City and Apache 310 Linger at the Bottom
At the lower end of the list, TVS Star City sold 1,886 units, while the Apache 310, TVS’s premium performance model, managed just 208 units, with a significant 25.45% year-on-year decline. These numbers suggest limited traction in premium segments despite the brand’s established presence.
Total TVS Sales Cross 3 Lakh Units
Altogether, TVS Motors sold 3,09,287 two-wheelers in May 2025, highlighting the company’s consistent performance and strong market penetration. The impressive showing, especially by the Jupiter, reinforces TVS’s position as a preferred brand for Indian consumers seeking quality, trust, and innovation in the two-wheeler space.
