Udaipur, March 26: In response to the nationwide ban on the use of commercial gas cylinders, authorities took decisive action on Thursday. Under the direction of District Supply Officer Ms. Srishti Dabas, efforts were made to prevent the illegal use of domestic gas and curb unlawful refilling practices.
Following complaints about the illegal transfer of gas from one cylinder to another, enforcement officers Dr. Nisha Mundda and Ms. Mansi Pandya discovered that gas was being transferred from a domestic cylinder to a commercial one at the HP Gas Agency near RK Circle, Shiv Colony.
During the operation, a total of 16 domestic cylinders and 2 commercial cylinders were seized, along with the equipment used for the gas transfer.
The District Supply Officer stated that cases will be registered under the Essential Commodities Act of 1955, and actions will be taken in accordance with its provisions.
