
Jaipur, August 5: A grand procession was held in Jaipur on the eve of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiramoni Guru Ravidas Maharaj. The event was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and featured a sacred water pot ceremony.
The procession was flagged off by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Baid, along with BJP leaders including Avinash Gehlot, Ajay Kumar, Shrawan Bagri, Bhupendra Saini, and Kailash Meghwal.
A significant number of women participated in traditional attire, carrying pots on their heads. The atmosphere was filled with devotion, faith, and a sense of social unity.
BJP state ministers Ekta Agarwal, Narayan Meena, Sitaram Poswal, and the president of the BJP women’s wing, Rakhi Rathore, were also present at the event.
Procession Begins at Mandleshwar Mahadev Temple
The procession commenced from the Mandleshwar Mahadev Temple, located near the assembly, and concluded at the Kheleshwar Mahadev Temple at SMS Stadium.
The event featured lively music, beautifully decorated carts, and an impressive tableau of Sant Shiramoni Guru Ravidas Maharaj, captivating the attendees.
Message of Equality and Harmony
Bhupendra Saini emphasized that the initiative aims to spread the messages of equality, harmony, humanity, and social justice as taught by Guru Ravidas Maharaj.
He noted that this event is a crucial step towards fostering goodwill among various societal groups, promoting social inclusion, and enhancing national unity.
Strengthening the Spirit of Nation Building
Saini highlighted that the campaign seeks to reinforce social harmony and the spirit of nation-building within the community.
The procession saw participation from numerous BJP workers, devotees, and members of various social organizations, showcasing a collective commitment to these values.
